The National Cadet Corps

 National Cadet Corps wing of DSCW which comes under the 5 Punjab Girls Battalion, Moga provides training to the students. Keeping in mind its motto Unity and Discipline, the students here at the college are trained in a way that they can face the challenges of the outer world. It is a body which provides basic military training to young minds which develops a feeling of courage, Honesty and patriotism among them. The training not only trains them but it also provides them employment benefits that cleared B & C certificate exams. We feel honoured that to share NCC wing of DSCW has touched various milestones and one of our cadets has recently been the part of the camp held at OTA Gwalior and Chennai. At DSCW the students are taught the NCC curriculum which consists of training cultural, adventurous and social activities which is of great importance for the young generation. DSCW is the first college of Punjab where its four-outstanding brilliant NCC cadets S.U.O Rakhi Sharma, S.U.O Amrit Dhaliwal, S.U.O Rajwant kaur and S.U.O Manvinder Kaur got the privilege to present “Guard of Honour” to the Vice President of India, Ex. Prime Minister and Chief of the Naval Staff. Due to Covid-19, we all are locked in our homes but still cadets participated in various activities with full zeal and ardor like Fit India Movement, Go local for Vocal, Tree Plantation, Celebration of Constitution day, NCC day and Yoga day by sending pictures and videos related to the activities while sitting at their homes.

We the cadets of the National Cadet Corps, do solemnly pledge that we shall always uphold the unity of India. We resolve to be disciplined and responsible citizens of our nation. We shall undertake positive community service in the spirit of  selflessness and concern for our fellow beings.

  1. To Develop Character, Comradeship, Discipline, Leadership, Secular Outlook, Spirit of Adventure, and Ideals of Selfless Service amongst the Youth of the Country.
  2. To Create a Human Resource of Organized, Trained and Motivated Youth, To Provide Leadership in all Walks of life and be Always Available for the Service of the Nation.
  3.  To Provide a Suitable Environment to Motivate the Youth to Take Up a Career in the Armed Forces.
