Red Ribbon

The red ribbon is used as the symbol for the solidarity of people living with HIV/AIDS , and for the awareness and prevention of drug abuse. Red Ribbon Club is a movement started by the Government of India in schools and colleges through which students will spread awareness about HIV / AIDS.

Dr. Sangeeta Arora, Associate Professor, Dept. of Economics is the Nodal Officer of Red Ribbon Club. The club aims to serve various purposes like

AIDS awareness campaign through educating youth with correct, concise and adequate information and increase the level of awareness about HIV, AIDS

To enable youth, especially the female students, to identify and understand situations of exploitation and abuse.

Educating and creating awareness among youth regarding care and supporting needs of People Living With HIV, AIDS and instilling in them the spirit of helping and supporting such people.

To promote voluntary blood donation and healthy life style.
